Welcome to Danum Scottish Country Dancers
We are a Doncaster based group of Scottish country dancers. We are a fun, friendly group of people from a range of different ages and backgrounds who come together to enjoy social dancing. Most of us come on our own as you do not need to have a partner to take part but of course you are welcome to bring a friend. We get together once a week during term-time to enjoy learning dances old and new. Classes being held on a Tuesday evening in Doncaster Town Centre to recorded music.

Scottish country dancing has a unique blend of wonderful music, disciplined dancing, intricate floor patterns and sociability that appeals to so many people throughout the world. Once you have learnt to dance there are many social dances throughout South Yorkshire and far beyond organised by other Scottish country dance groups which you will be able to attend, meet new people and dance to live bands.
The group has given demonstrations at local functions such as Burns Night Dinners. Members of the group have also attended the Association of Scottish Country Dance Societies (ASCDS) Festival which takes place in May each year.
